20 useful, must-know tips to look after your linens & other favourite pieces of clothing

This is a post dedicated to my sister Elodie (who you know I adore) and to anyone who has wrecked some of their beloved pieces in the washing-machine.

Before going skiing last month, I attended the launch of the new Miele W1 washing-machine which was quite something and very interesting, considering we are talking about the launch of a washing-machine...
So on the back of this and with Miele's help, I've put together a few tips and reminders to help you to make the clothes and bed linens you love last.

Miele may not be cheapest brand on the market but it is one that will last you a lifetime and I learnt at the launch that it is still a family business ❤️. Their new W1 laundry range has some amazing features (read here) and it's like SMEG or the Vipp kitchen (see my post here), if you can...get the best you can afford.

And of course the big question is....Do you really know your labels?
To be honest, there were quite a few I had no idea what they meant so I've asked Miele to send me the infographic available in their leaflet. I think it's a good one to put on Pinterest and print to stick in the kitchen cupboard as a reminder.

Check out these gorgeous Japanese linen aprons for children

The girls are still on holidays so we went to the office to shoot these beautiful Japanese linen aprons ... Lily (my niece) who is obsessed with BODIE and FOU and wants to run it one day, asked me when we came out of the house if everybody in our street, knew that I was working for BODIE and FOU ... sweet :-)
Someone also asked me at work where I managed to get this blonde child...all credits to the bold kiwi...I was blonde for a while 10 years ago and thinking of it, it was probably not my best look.
Have a fab Friday, bises.

20% OFF our gorgeous stonewashed linen collection

I hope you're well. I'm so looking forward to this weekend. It has been a crazy week, the blogger styling competition with VIPP was a-ma-zing. Unfortunately I broke my phone the morning of the competition so I couldn't post any pictures on Instagram but the final pictures are amazing. I will post them later.
I just wanted to let you know that we are offering 20% OFF on selected stonewashed duvet covers until Friday so if these gorgeous linens were on your wishlist for a while, now is the time.
Have a fab weekend! bises

Cosy, feel-good mood board for a happy weekend

To celebrate the arrival of our natural baskets, Autumn and a lovely weekend ahead, I've put together this cosy, feel-good mood board for you.
And I have a request for you...I need a vintage wooden or metal chair with wear & tear marks for a photoshoot (something like this, this or that would do) so if you have one in London and you can lend it to me, please let me know.
If not, I think, I'll paint an old armchair I have upstairs but I think my shoot would work better with a chair.
What are up to to this weekend? We are going to The Bike Shed this weekend...expect some interesting snaps on Instagram :-) Have a good one, bises.

Our linen collection has arrived...

We have finally received the beautiful linen collection we ordered last January, yeah...!!
Our best-selling blue grey stonewashed linen duvet cover that graced the front cover of our Summer catalogue is now back in stock and so is the light grey duvet cover which I really love because it is a very soothing hue and it looks beautiful with white or dark grey pillow cases.
In the new SS/2013 collection, the mustard has been replaced by the curry duvet cover and we've added lots of new bright and uplifting colours in yellow, orange and blush.
