A beautiful warehouse in Amsterdam

It's always a very nice feeling when two people who never met, appreciate each other's work and aesthetics and they finally meet.
That's what happened between Emily Gray and I when we met last year at Playtime in Paris and it was wonderful.
I'm a big fan of the style and aesthetics of Gray Label, the minimalist Kids fashion label she created and I'm totally in love with the gorgeous family home she shared with her husband Marius Haverkamp, an interior designer running Flow and their two children.

Keeping the beautiful red brick wall* - one of the original features of the building - they've added warmth and textures using wood, fabrics and nature. The polished concrete floor contrasts beautifully with the roughness of the wall and the glass and metal structure built around a patio, makes their family home, private and welcoming....the perfect happy space for family time at weekends.
I'm still trying to find a material similar to polished concrete floor for our kitchen and I will let you know when I get anywhere...
✔️ In the UK, Dreamwall supplies DIY wall cladding systems (check the brick section here).
✔️ Similar rustic chopping boards can be found here.
✔️The FORM table is very similar to the one above and MADE has a great selection of upholstered dining chairs (the Flynn dining chairs in midnight black or the Jersey dining chairs in graphite grey would look really good with this kind of table).

The stunning handmade black chandelier in the kitchen was a wedding gift. It is made of clay in Africa. I've seen it in Anthropologie on Kings Road in London and a white version in MERCI in Paris (from memory, it retails at about 5000 euros). This wooden chandelier is similar in shape and more affordable.
✔️ The Z1 pendant light in the lounge is by Chilean Creative Director Nelson Sepuvelda, who I photographed in Paris last January.
✔️ Similar Boucherouite rugs can be found at Beldirugs in the UK.
✔️You can find vintage rattan furniture at L'Atelier du Parc, a gorgeous French website which has a fabulous, vintage selection of rattan cots and beds for kids.

So..what did you think of this gorgeous, family warehouse?
